Nutrition & Dietary Support
Proper diet and exercise are critical to your health, but we know it’s not easy. Hancock Health dietitians, exercise specialists, and wellness coaches can help create a path to a healthier you.
Nutrition Therapy & Education
A healthy, balanced approach to food is good for both your mental health and physical body. The right diet can help prevent certain cancers, heart disease, and other serious illnesses. To help you eat healthfully, we offer free workshops hosted by a dietitian and covering a variety of topics, including:
- Sugar vs. artificial sweeteners
- Home gardening & canning
- Meal preparation
If you’re interested in taking steps to maintain a healthier diet, we offer nutrition consultations to help understand your current eating habits and set wellness goals.
If you continue with nutrition therapy sessions, we can help you establish good eating habits for you and your family, achieve weight loss or manage your weight, improve physical performance, and reduce your risk for disease.
Nutrition therapy may be covered by your insurance plan. The initial consultation is $187 out of pocket, and follow-up sessions range from $92 to $123, depending on the length of the session.
Treatment and education go hand in hand when managing blood sugar levels. Minimize the long-term risk of complications from diabetes with our diabetes self-management training (DSMT). We also walk patients through the process of self-monitoring blood glucose and administering injectables.
Planning a special event? Pick up a party tray from our cafeteria. We offer a variety of trays of all sizes, stocked with everything from appetizers to desserts.
If party trays won’t quite cut it at your next big event, Hancock Health also provides full catering services. These services include delivery and set up of everything you need to keep guests happy, including plates, utensils, cups, ice, condiments, and more. All items are disposable for easy clean-up.
You can place orders Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., but keep in mind that we’ll need at least 48 hours advance notice, and that requests are limited.
