Neonatal

If your baby is born prematurely or has complex medical needs, Peyton Manning’s neonatal nurses are available on site 24/7. Neonatologists can also be consulted virtually while you’re in the Andis Maternity unit.

We have a Level II Special Care Nursery, providing specialized care for babies born as early as 32 weeks. Doctors and nurses watch over newborns to make sure they’re growing well.

Care provided in our nursery includes:

• Frequent assessments
• Oxygen and continuous CPAP
• IV fluid and medications
• Help with feedings
• Personalized feeding plans with International Board-certified Lactation Consultants

Level II care falls between regular newborn care and the more intensive care in a Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). It serves as a comfortable environment for babies who have been released from a NICU but need a little more time to grow before going home.

Our special care nursery is staffed by experienced professionals passionate about providing exceptional newborn care, with 24/7 support on site from Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital neonatal nurse practitioners and 24/7 telehealth support from Peyton Manning’s neonatologists.

Our Andis Maternity unit offers 24/7 access to obstetricians and gynecologists, ensuring you and your baby are in the hands of experienced providers. Our birthing suites include a private bath, TV, WiFi, and a spacious sleeping chair for your partner.
