Good Vibrations: How Hancock Health Looks After Our Littlest Patients

September 27, 2022

October is Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month. If you’re pregnant, you’ve probably had an ultrasound or plan to have one soon. Ultrasounds can show you the first glimpses of your child and can also help identify any possible problems with the pregnancy so they can be treated accordingly.

At Hancock Health, our partnership with Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital means our state’s leading neonatal doctors, nurses, and facilities are right here for you in East Central Indiana. If your baby is born prematurely or has complex medical needs, we have Peyton Manning’s neonatal nurse practitioners available on site 24/7, along with virtual care from their neonatologists as needed while you’re in the Andis Maternity unit.

Hancock Health is here for you

We help our littlest patients with our Level II Special Care Nursery for infants needing specialized care born as early as 32 weeks, but we also take care of you. At Gateway Hancock Health, we offer ultrasounds at a fraction of the cost of competitors. Not only that, but imaging through Gateway does not require a referral, making the process quick, easy, and affordable.

And, once you’ve brought your little one into the world, we’ve got even more to give you. Hancock Health offers a variety of free parenting classes, including a childbirth preparation class, a breastfeeding class, and much more.

No matter what stage of pregnancy you’re in, Hancock Health is here to support new parents in every way possible.
