Car Seat Safety Check Program

At Hancock Health, our goal is to encourage the proper use of car seats and ensure that all children are riding safely. Hancock Health offers a car seat safety check program to help anyone that needs assistance with the installation of a car seat. As a permanent fitting station, we offer one on one appointments with a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) to parents and caregivers. The car seat safety check program is by appointment only and you can schedule your appointment below.
Our CPSTs will check the child’s current car seat for recalls, check for proper fit and installation, provide education to the parent/caregiver on how to properly use and install the car seat, and provide a new seat if necessary (recipients must meet financial guidelines, please inquire).

Donate To Our Car Seat Safety Check Program

Our program is funded through grants from the state and county, plus local sponsorships, and donations. As you may have seen, grant funding is getting tighter and tighter for 2024 and beyond. There is just less to go around and many programs like ours are seeing a decrease in funding from state and local levels.

We are actively working to cultivate strong relationships with all first responders within our county and local business partners to keep meeting the needs of our community and hosting annual car seat clinics.
