Classes for Childbirth: How Hancock Health Supports Expecting Parents

Whether you’re a first-time parent or you’ve been through it before, childbirth can be anxiety-inducing. But our team at Hancock Health has great resources to help you lower your stress and get ready for your new baby. The best part: They’re completely free!

The preparation process.

Hancock Health offers a free childbirth preparation class for expecting parents. The class is facilitated by an experienced RN and includes access to an instructive app and a one-day Saturday workshop. A code for the app is provided upon registration.

During the class, you will have plenty of hands-on practice with many childbirth techniques and positions, along with displays, demonstrations, and lots of question time. You’ll learn about a variety of topics, including:

Hancock Health is proud to offer support to new parents in a variety of other ways. Beyond our free childbirth prep class, we also offer classes on breastfeeding, newborn care and safety, and much more. Not only that, but Hancock Health also has a car seat program. This program will help you understand which car seat is right for your child, and a trained professional will inspect your current car seat for recalls, teach you how to install it properly, and may even provide a new car seat if necessary. 

Plus, Hancock Health also offers a wide variety of lactation services, aimed at making sure mothers are prepared with everything they may need, from classes to breast pumps and resources to access a milk bank.
