Supporting Heart Health Awareness Month
Hancock Health is joining the Indianapolis Business Journal and other Central Indiana businesses in supporting Heart Health Awareness Month. The cover of the Feb. 4 issue of the IBJ was designed to draw attention to cardiovascular disease, which kills more Americans than any other disease—one person every 40 seconds.
Making Health Possible
Though Indiana’s days are getting longer, we’ve still got a lot of darkness to get through before the warmer (and brighter) months. But don’t let the darkness get you down. We’ve got a few bright ideas at HealthPossible.org that’ll help you let the sunshine in—even when it’s cold and gray.
Missing summer socials? Bundle up and head outside.
Working in the dark? Let the light in.
Can’t get warm? Get Hygge.
Busting Myths About Surgery
Our Mythbusters series, which debunks common myths about health care, is answering one of the most frequent questions we get from surgical patients: Does it hurt to be anesthetized? Check out the video here and you’ll learn there’s no pain involved. And if you’re looking for more answers to questions about what happens before, during, and after the surgeries we perform at Hancock Health, check out our new surgery website, HancockSurgery.com.
