How long have you worked in healthcare?
- DB: 27 years
- TA: 16 years
- CH: 19 years in Xray, 17 years in ultrasound
- JK: 28 years
- JF: 28 years
At Hancock Health, how do you help patients or associates?
- DB: Taking care of patients by treating them like family.
- TA: Providing mammography services and filling in for other areas (Xray, dexa, front desk) as needed.
- CH: Using my imaging skills and care to help with the diagnosis of their symptoms or monitoring chronic conditions.
- JK: Treating people like I would like my own family treated by being kind, respectful and having empathy for everyone’s unique situation.
- JF: Helping answer any questions they have, and comforting them when they need it.
- CP: Help patients by getting tests done as smoothly as possible and in a timely manner.
What is your favorite Hancock Health event?
- DB: The yearly diagnostic imaging party/luncheon.
- TA: Women Helping Women annual event.
- CH: Anything that gives back to the community.
- JK: All the holiday festivities.
- JF: I love all of the Halloween and Christmas festivities.
What trade associations, alumni or service organizations are you a part of?
- DB: Graduated from Ball State and IUPUI.
- CH: Founding member and board member for Once Upon a Prom. We provide formal dresses to high school students from all over the state.
- JK: Graduated from the radiology program at Hancock Health in 1995. Volunteer with the organization Once Upon a Prom.
- JF: Hancock County Children’s Choir and Once Upon a Prom.
What is your favorite thing about working for Hancock Health?
- DB: The friendly people in the organization.
- TA: You are treated like family.
- CH: I love the small, close-knit family feel of Hancock Health.
- JK: Everyone is so friendly and helpful throughout the organization.
- JF: I love the people that I work with and how close we have become.
- CP: Favorite thing about working at Hancock Health are the people here.
What is your favorite thing about your specific job?
- DB: Helping patients improve their lives.
- TA: Being able to help patients feel comfortable and at ease during a less than comfortable exam that many are nervous to have.
- CH: I enjoy the challenge of ultrasound. I never know what I could find when I start each scan and I have to use my knowledge to determine what I am seeing and looking for.
- JK: Being able to help and care for patients, even if it is just for a short amount of time. Making sure they have a positive experience during their time in the office. Also, working with my co-workers who make the work day/week more fun.
- JF: I love greeting people when they come in, and give them a friendly smile to start their visit.
- CP: Favorite thing about my job is getting to do something I love.
What is your favorite way to kick off a work week?
- CH: Caffeine.
- JK: Coffee and chatting with co-workers about their weekend.
- JF: I start my day with a cup of coffee and quiet time to reflect upon the work week to come.
Outside of work, what do you enjoy?
- DB: Spending time with my family, Karaoke, collecting sports cards and being a personal finance nerd.
- TA: Reading, walking, game nights with family and dinners out with friends.
- CH: Watching my kids participate in extracurricular activities, reading and playing tennis.
- JK: Traveling, reading and spending time with family.
- JF: I enjoy spending time with my husband and 8-year-old daughter.
- CP: Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family.
