Hope Lives Here

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Nearly 16,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer each year in the United States. With that in mind, we’re revisiting the many ways our cancer care team helps patients live a full life with cancer until they’re living without it. Revisit our video to see how nurse navigators at the Sue Ann Wortman Cancer Center made treatment more manageable for Chris Baggott.

Making Health Possible

With all the hoppin’ around we do at Hancock Health, it’s tough to keep up with the latest and greatest content at Health Possible. That’s why Hank delivers a round-up directly to your inbox each week. Check out a few of the links below, and find even more helpful content at HealthPossible.org.
At risk for osteoporosis? Take care of your bones now.
Need a boost? Start your day with a superfood latte.

Just for men? Heart disease is the number one killer of American women.

Recognizing Suicide Prevention Week

Today kicks off Suicide Prevention Week. We’re working hard to address mental health issues across the region we serve, and Hancock Health Foundation is taking the lead through its Mental Health Campaign. Thanks to the generosity and support of so many across our community, RISE Recovery and Wellness (Hancock Health’s first substance use treatment program) is open and fully staffed.
These programs are saving lives, and we’re excited to see them continue to grow and expand.

Hank’s Dad Joke of the Week

Q: Why did the house go to the doctor?
