Happy Health Unit Coordinators Week
When our patients with cancer have questions or need support after hours, they’re never left alone. Instead, our nurse navigators are on call 24/7. They help patients understand complex medical terms, care plans, and also provide emotional support. Check out this video about our nurse navigators and hear their patients’ heartfelt thanks.
Making Health Possible
This week, Hank has rounded up a bunch of great content around respiratory and pulmonary illnesses, and six, rewarding reasons to quit smoking if you’re still addicted to cigarettes. Check out the links below, and find even more helpful content at HealthPossible.org.
What is COPD? Understand causes, symptoms, and treatment.
What about childhood asthma? Stay ahead by learning the triggers.
Still smoking? Here’s what you gain when you quit.
Transforming Care for Survivors of Sexual Assault
The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners Program (SANE), a partnership with Henry Community Health, Rush Memorial Hospital, and our local prosecutors’ offices, provides 24-hour confidential services to survivors of sexual assault in our community. Thanks to the program, specially trained nurses and nurse practitioners provide free examinations to document survivors’ stories and preserve legal evidence for law enforcement. Learn more about the launch of this program on our website.
Hank’s Dad Joke of the Week
