Because You Can’t Have Enough Chocolate Recipes

July 28, 2020

Chocolate. Need we say more?

It’s one of the most beloved dessert ingredients in the world—including Hancock County. Which is why the Greenfield Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors an annual Chocolate Walk. Most people find chocolate delightful in its purest form. However, it’s always nice to find new ways to use such a tasty food. So we’ve rounded up some fantastic recipes for you to try this summer.

Savory AND Sweet Chocolate Recipes!

If you are in the mood for a classic dessert, you can’t go wrong with the brownie. We found this recipe that claims to be the best, but the only way to find out is to bake it and test it (if the batter even makes it into the oven, that is).

Another staple is the good, old chocolate chip cookie. However, we think it is really fun to mix things up, and if you feel the same you should try these Salted Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. I know. Mind blown.

Maybe after you’ve succeeded in the business of brownies and oatmeal cookies, you can try to whip up this Chocolate-Almond Fridge Fudge. Bonus points for any recipes that don’t require the use of an oven during an Indiana summer! This recipe also has a fun twist of using avocados, making this treat dairy-free! If you’re really happy looking at that last recipe and realizing that you don’t have to wait for anything to bake, then you may also like these Peanut Butter Chocolate No-Bake Cookies. Kids can easily help you with this recipe, and they taste great!

Not all chocolate recipes need to be sweet: How about dipping into the savory cocoa collection? The next time you feel like grilling out, why not add chocolate to the mix with these amazing Cocoa Rubbed Baby Back Ribs? Your friends will never guess your secret.

To go along with your ribs, why not whip up the chocolate vinaigrette and beautiful salad found in this recipe for Chocolate Pear and Cherry Salad? If you finish the meal with one of the desserts from above, you will have succeeded in using chocolate in every dish, which is a definite TKT-er (channeling the kitchen version of Dick Vitale, a “true kitchen triumph”).

If you love chocolate, you’ll want to test all these recipes. Then get creative and invent your own ways to use chocolate. And join the Greenfield Area Chamber of Commerce on August 14th for the annual Chocolate Walk. Tickets are $15 presale and $20 the day of the event.
