Come in Like a Lion and Grab Our March Get Health Challenges

February 21, 2020
It’s said that March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. But we’re in the middle of a Get Healthy Challenge here. So we suggest you come in like a lion and go out like a smarter, calmer, healthier lion, ready to take on the challenges of the world. Click the link to download your printable Get Healthy Calendar for March.

(Want to start at the beginning? You can get previous months’ calendars in our Calendar Archive below.)

And please share: When you complete a challenge, post a picture or video of your experience on your Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter account with the hashtag #HancockHealthChallenge. You’ll be entered for a chance to win a $250 Hancock Wellness Center gift card.

Here, then, are the March challenges:

Week 1: Eat a fruit or vegetable with every.

Yes, we said every. It’s surprisingly easy, and it can have all sorts of nutritional benefits that are good for your body. Who know? You may even get to like them.

Week 2: Meditate for 10 minutes every day.

Meditation: It’s not just for gurus and yogis anymore. Studies show that meditation can help relieve stress, help you be more focused, promotes emotional well-being, and a whole lot more.

Week 3: Take the stairs.

It’s amazing how many extra calories you can burn just by taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Park out at the end of the parking lot. Find ways to walk more and ride less.

Week 4: Have a shopping-free week.

It’s amazing how much time many of us spend shopping. This week, we’re taking a week off. So stock up on groceries and paper goods and log off the computer: The economy will do just fine without you for a week.

Take the challenges. Have fun. Learn something. Share! And download one of our Get Healthy Challenge desktop wallpapers to remind yourself to stay fierce.
