
Amelie Medley, MD
PHYSICIAN BIO
Dr. Amelie Medley has a strong foundation in general and minimally invasive surgery. After completing her general surgery residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, she recently finished a fellowship in Advanced GI/Minimally Invasive Surgery at Methodist Richardson Medical Center. Dr. Medley now holds a certificate in Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgery and a second certificate in Foregut Surgery. She also gained valuable experience during her training at Hospital Johanneum in Germany, where she worked across a variety of surgical specialties. Her research in colorectal cancer has been published in several respected medical journals, and she has presented her findings at national and international conferences. Dr. Medley has also been involved in teaching medical students and residents, assisting in cadaver labs and helping them develop key surgical skills. Fluent in both German and English, she values a patient-centered approach to care and is committed to making a positive impact in her community. Outside of medicine, she enjoys horseback riding and hiking with her family in the Indiana countryside. Dr. Medley is eager to contribute her skills and knowledge to the care of patients at Hancock Regional Hospital and looks forward to being part of the community.
