For the sixth consecutive year, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) announced that Hancock Regional Hospital – Hancock Health has earned the 2025 CHIME “Digital Health Most Wired” recognition, achieving certification at Level 8. CHIME conducts an annual survey to assess how effectively healthcare organizations apply core and advanced technologies into their clinical, business, and operational programs to improve healthcare in their communities.
“Digital transformation in healthcare continues evolving at a rapid pace, and we are honored to be recognized again in the Digital Health Most Wired program,” said Matt Browning, CAO of Hancock Health. “At Hancock, we believe that technology plays a vital role in providing safe, efficient, and patient-centred care. We will continue adopting proven technologies, leveraging smart data and secure infrastructure to ensure quality outcomes and stronger engagement for our patients and care teams.”
According to CHIME, this year’s survey was designed to be more aspirational, with methodology updates that raise the bar and reflect the rapidly evolving digital health landscape. These refinements measure capabilities with greater precision, ensuring fair comparison among organizations of similar size, complexity, and resources. While level designations may shift under this enhanced framework, your recognition underscores your team’s ongoing excellence and leadership in digital health.
At the same time, the new framework highlights specific areas for strategic digital health investment and provides a clearer roadmap for continued transformation — making this recognition not only a celebration of past achievement, but also a guide for future progress.
A total of more than 50,000 facilities, across acute, ambulatory, long-term care, and international sectors were represented in the 2025 Digital Health Most Wired survey. The survey assesses the adoption, integration and impact of digital health technologies across organizations in all stages of development—ranging from early deployment through to industry-leading maturity.
Participating organizations receive a customized benchmarking report, an overall score, and scores for individual domains such as infrastructure, cybersecurity; business/disaster recovery, administration/supply chain; analytics/data management, interoperability/population health, patient engagement, clinical quality/safety, and innovation. Based on their overall performance, participants are awarded a certification level, with Level 10 (or “Level 10/Leader”) being the highest.
