漢考克健康基金會
We started the Hancock Health Foundation in 1982 to support the advancement of health care and wellness throughout Hancock County. Your gifts help to ensure that Hancock Health can remain an independent, local hospital and continue to meet the healthcare needs of Hancock County residents.
Support Our Future in Focus Campaign
Hancock Health is growing rapidly, with an increasing demand for PET/CT scans—essential for early disease detection and treatment planning. Our current mobile scanner, available only one day per week, limits accessibility and creates scheduling challenges and delays in care.
You Can Help Impact Lives!
A donation to this campaign is an investment in the health of our community. Contributions are tax-deductible and can be made as a one-time gift or pledged over three years.
Campaign Goal: $3 Million
Our Impact
The Hancock Health Foundation’s work is crucial in supporting under-funded services, covering care for those with limited resources and providing community programs focused on advancing health and wellness. In recent years, donations to Hancock Health Foundation have made the following advancements in healthcare possible:
- Construction and ongoing support for the Sue Ann Wortman Cancer Center
- Inpatient hospice and palliative care services
- Opening of the Hancock Health Connection Center, providing mental health and substance misuse treatment, as well as Support Navigation services and connection to community resources.
- Providing crucial healthcare services for under/uninsured women through the Women Helping Women program.
Mental Health Campaign
Funds raised by the Hancock Health Foundation help Hancock Health add professional services and expand support programs for the mental well-being of our community members.
Past contributions have enabled us to:
- Increase capacity for individual and group therapy, and reduce wait times by hiring more licensed clinical social workers
- Provide Medication Assisted Treatment for individuals struggling with substance use disorder
- Hire additional Support Navigators to help people with substance use disorders find and continue treatment
- Create school-based prevention and early intervention treatment services for youth
We are grateful for the supporters of our mental health initiative. If you wish to join us in improving access to these resources, designate a donation to mental health today.

Memorial Gifts and Annuities
Many of our donors have generously made gifts to Hancock Health Foundation in honor of special occasions, loved ones, and memorials. In these instances, we send a prompt, thankful acknowledgment to the person honored or to the family of the person for which the memorial gift was donated. Other unique and thoughtful options for supporting the health of our local community include:
Will Arrangements
After providing for the needs of loved ones, consider using your will to support the organizations and institutions that matter most to you. By having your attorney revise your will or add a simple amendment, you can make a gift to Hancock Health Foundation of a dollar amount, a specific property, a percentage of your estate, or what is left after your loved ones have been taken care of.
Life Insurance Beneficiaries
Many people have life insurance policies that were intended to cover contingencies that no longer apply. And because federal law now exempts many estates from taxation, life insurance purchased to cover estate taxes may be obsolete. Life insurance is one of the best ways to make a significant gift to an organization you care about. You can name Hancock Health Foundation as a charitable beneficiary for all or part of your life insurance policy.
Another excellent way to make a gift of insurance is to purchase a new policy, naming the foundation as beneficiary or co-beneficiary. It’s a way to ensure your gift to us is much larger than the cost to you—and does more good for our community in the future.
Charitable Gift Annuities (CGA)
The CGA program enables individuals to make the significant gift of an annuity while retaining lifetime income. The donor transfers assets (stocks, bonds, and/or cash) to the foundation. In return, a guaranteed payment is made to the donor and/or spouse for their lifetime. It’s an excellent way to make a gift while still taking care of your ongoing financial needs.
Annual Report
We are proud to support the advancement of health care and wellness in the communities we serve. Our 2025 Annual Report outlines the support the Hancock Health Foundation provides to the hospital and our community.
