有人立即需要醫療照護的三個跡象

1 月 16, 2017
While a visit to a primary care physician or simple first aid can handle many medical problems, some signs could indicate life-threatening conditions and should not be ignored. Here are three symptoms that require immediate medical care.

Weakness in the Arms or Legs

Weakness or numbness in the extremities is a warning sign of a stroke, particularly if it occurs only on one side of the body. Medical care for a stroke can often prevent long-term disability, but for these treatments to be effective, they must be administered as soon as possible. Other signs to look out for include confusion, difficulty with speech or comprehension, and trouble with walking or standing.

Chest Pain

A squeezing, tightness in the chest is the classic symptom of a heart attack, especially when accompanied by sweating, shortness of breath, or nausea. This type of pain is more likely to indicate a heart attack when it arises during physical exercise.

Wheezing

Any trouble with breathing should be immediately evaluated, as it can quickly become life threatening if it worsens. Wheezing or whistling sounds while breathing could indicate pneumonia, asthma, lung disease, a related condition due to exposure to toxins, or other serious issues.

Those who experience any of these three symptoms should call 9-1-1 or head to the nearest emergency room.
