May 13th marked the grand opening of Hancock Regional Hospital’s newly redesigned lobby as well as the dedication of the Dr. Ted Gabrielsen Center of Surgical Excellence.
The investment in the hospital’s new and improved lobby is a reflection of our commitment to ensuring a high-quality, welcoming and positive experience for all patients and visitors, starting from the moment they walk in the door.
“The opening of Hancock Regional Hospital’s modernized lobby represents a significant milestone in our journey,” said Steve Long, Hancock Health CEO. “This thoughtfully designed space enhances both the functionality and comfort of our facility, serving as a gateway to the high standard of care we deliver each day. We extend our gratitude and appreciation to everyone whose dedication and expertise brought this project to fruition.”
Formerly known as the Hancock Surgery Center, its new name is in honor of Dr. Ted Gabrielsen, a long-time surgeon at Hancock Regional Hospital, who served patients for more than three decades. Expert physicians at the surgery center conduct a multitude of surgeries, including general, orthopedic, plastic and reconstructive, gastroenterology, and OB/GYN utilizing cutting-edge technology like the Da Vinci 5 Robotic Surgical System.
