Hancock Health Connection Center

Amanda has been a Registered Dietitian since 2005 and worked for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program for 14 years. She’s often described as a good listener, and an important part of her job is building relationships with community members. Her goal is to break the stigma around treatment for mental health issues and substance use, and to motivate East Central Indiana residents to become involved in all aspects of wellness. Amanda earned her bachelor’s from Indiana University. She is originally from Lowell, Indiana, but now lives in McCordsville with her husband and three children. Amanda loves entertaining family and friends, boating, and sitting by the campfire.

After joining Hancock Health in 2018, Krysti originally worked in Pediatrics before joining the Hancock Health Connection Center team in 2020. A certified Community Health Worker and CRAFT Facilitator, she is currently working toward a bachelor’s in social work. She has a strong passion for empowering individuals who need treatment for mental health and substance use issues and wants them to understand that they are not alone. Krysti and her two children, Lillian and Haedyn, reside in Knightstown. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching her children’s various activities, camping, crafting, and watching IU basketball. She considers herself an iced coffee connoisseur.

Christina joined our team in July of 2021. She previously served as a social worker for the Indiana Department of Child Services and was excited to hear about an agency serving the local community so close to her home in Henry County. “I was trying to find something where I would be able to make an impact with the local community,” said Christina. “I kind of stumbled upon the Connection Center and had the opportunity to become a Support Navigator and Licensed Social Worker for the Connection Center.”

Addy joined the connection center in July of 2023. Addy is a licensed social worker and received her master’s degree in social work from IUPUI. Addy has a background in medical social work, and previously worked with patients and their families at Riley Hospital for Children. Addy now works closely with individuals within Hancock County to connect to appropriate services and supports that best serve them. Addy has a passion for community outreach, mental health, and equine therapy.

A Peace Corps volunteer after college, Sarah lived abroad for four years, teaching English in Namibia. Wanting to return to grassroots, community-level work, Sarah joined the team in January 2022. She is happy to be back home in Hancock County, where she now uses her years of experience to connect local families with supporting resources.

Lexi joined Hancock Health in 2019, and in December of 2023 started her role at the Connection Center. Lexi is a Support Navigator with her focus being on individuals in the Justice System. Lexi studied Psychology at IUPUI and graduated with her bachelors in 2023. She is passionate about learning who a person truly is and encouraging them that their past does not determine their future.  Lexi has lived in Hancock County her whole life and hopes to help lessen the stigma on mental health in her community. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, and being outdoors.

Bevor Heidi in den Gesundheitsbereich eintrat, arbeitete sie mehrere Jahre lang für ein Tankstellen- und Lebensmittelgeschäftsunternehmen mit Sitz im Mittleren Westen und kümmerte sich um die Lohn- und Gehaltsabrechnung sowie die Kreditoren- und Debitorenbuchhaltung. Vor etwas mehr als einem Jahrzehnt entschied sie sich für den Wechsel ins Gesundheitswesen, ein Bereich, für den sie eine große Leidenschaft entwickelt hat. Sie dient nun unserer Gemeinschaft, indem sie Menschen in Not mit Support Navigators und den zahlreichen Ressourcen für psychische Gesundheit und Drogenmissbrauch verbindet, die Hancock Health und andere lokale Organisationen anbieten.
