This Community Heartsaver class teaches adult, infant, and child CPR—plus first aid. These extremely useful skills are good for just about anyone to learn. We offer this class to the community as a whole, including teachers and child-care providers, rather than for the certification of healthcare providers. The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA.
