Meet Dr. Kerri Kissell

Februar 10, 2020
“What makes Hancock Health different is our focus on the principles of love.”

That’s what motivates Dr. Kerri Kissell, medical director for endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at the Hancock Internal Medicine office in Greenfield. She’s committed to providing  excellent patient care in consultation with a team of outstanding Hancock Physician Network healthcare professionals.

Dr. Kissell leads a team of nurses and certified diabetes educators to help people with diabetes treat and manage their condition. In the two months she’s worked with Hancock Health, Dr. Kissell has worked hard to build a focused program capable of providing high-quality care.

Her efforts are paying off: In part because of the program’s success, her practice will be expanding later this year.

Dr. Kissell said the most rewarding part of her job is connecting with patients. “Caring for patients starts by emulating kindness,” she said.

She’s also committed to staying up to date on new innovations in the field of endocrinology. She is especially excited about completely closed-loop insulin pumps, which act as an artificial pancreas; and implantable continuous glucose monitoring to help her patients accurately manage their diabetes.

Dr. Kissell is a mom and volunteer soccer coach to her six-year-old daughter. She loves being outdoors, especially when mountain biking is involved. While Indiana is home now, she still misses the snow in her home state of Pennsylvania.
