They help patients understand complex medical terms,\u00a0\u00a0care plans, and also provide emotional support. Transforming Care for Survivors of Sexual Assault<\/strong>\"\"<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners Program (SANE), a partnership with Henry Community Health, Rush Memorial Hospital, and our local prosecutors\u2019 offices, provides 24-hour confidential services to survivors of sexual assault in our community. Thanks to the program, specially trained nurses and nurse practitioners provide free examinations to document survivors\u2019 stories and preserve legal evidence for law enforcement.
