statistics\u2014substantial decreases in COVID cases and hospitalizations have already been reported across the county and state. So, let\u2019s keep going: Wear your masks, wash your hands, follow social distancing guidelines, and schedule your vaccine when it\u2019s your turn. The reasons are below.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-list core-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Along with the state\u2019s other vaccine sites, Hancock Health uses the most efficient and safe methods possible while vaccinating as many people as possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-list core-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hancockhealth.org\/ja\/2020\/09\/breathe-in-breathe-out-how-to-cope-with-covid-19-stress\/\">Studies show a vaccinated person\u2019s chances of contracting COVID-19 are significantly reduced<\/a>. The vaccine also greatly decreases the possibility of hospitalization or death for those who do contract the virus following their shot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-list core-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You\u2019re protecting the people around you, including those who\u2019re at high risk, when you get the shot. And the more people we vaccinate, the more COVID infection rates are likely to decrease, making it safer for those at high risk. But we\u2019d be remiss if we didn\u2019t say that as experts work to determine whether COVID can still be spread by vaccinated people, it\u2019s recommended that everyone\u2014even those who receive the shot\u2014continue to follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/prevent-getting-sick\/prevention.html\">CDC guidelines<\/a> for mask wearing and social distancing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-list core-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The vaccine is safe and very effective.
