But recognizing changes early is important \u2013 especially now that treatment options are evolving.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-heading core-heading\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why Early Detection Matters More Than Ever<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-paragraph core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For many years, Alzheimer\u2019s care focused mainly on managing symptoms after the disease had significantly progressed.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-paragraph core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, newer FDA-approved therapies are helping shift the focus toward earlier intervention.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-paragraph core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hancockhealth.org\/fr\/2025\/02\/hancock-health-offering-new-alzheimers-treatment\/\">Hancock Health recently began offering anti-amyloid infusion therapy for eligible patients with early-stage Alzheimer\u2019s disease<\/a>. The treatment uses antibodies designed to target amyloid plaques, or abnormal protein deposits in the brain associated with Alzheimer\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-paragraph core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While these therapies are not cures, studies show they may help slow the progression of cognitive decline in certain patients when started early.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-paragraph core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. East notes this gives patients an option that they didn\u2019t have before.
