One great path to healthier eating is to start with fresh and healthy ingredients. In Hancock County, our new <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/716335695424124\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Healthy Harvest program<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014a partnership of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hancockhealth.org\/fr\/about\/population-health\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sant\u00e9 Hancock<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.behealthy365.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sain365<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, et <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandywinecreekfarms.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brandywine Creek Farms<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014is helping to bring fresh local vegetables, fruits, and other produce to residents throughout the summer and fall. The program runs through Monday, October 15.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each \u201cstop\u201d on the Healthy Harvest schedule lasts four hours. Fresh, low-cost produce can be purchased. Healthy recipes that use the provided ingredients are available. And those who face financial barriers to healthy eating can receive a voucher*\u2014good for one large bag per week of fresh produce, at just $1 for the bag.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>*You can get a voucher from your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hancockhealth.org\/fr\/find-a-doctor\/\">Hancock physician<\/a>, or other social agencies, such as WIC.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The prepacked $1 bags may include a variety of the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fresh corn<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Green beans<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tomatoes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cucumbers<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Squash<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zucchini<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kale<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Peppers<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chou<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oignons<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indiana melons<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And more, depending on the week\u2019s harvest<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cashiers accept cash only.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h2><b>2018 Healthy Harvest Schedule<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Healthy Harvest 2018 runs through Monday, October 15. However, you may choose to donate any unwanted items. Additional voucher guidelines include the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One voucher* may be used per family, per week.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You must present the paper voucher at your initial visit to Healthy Harvest. Patient demographic information will then be entered into the database, and the individual will receive a Healthy Harvest scan card to be used for the remainder of the Healthy Harvest season.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only one card will be issued per household.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For lost\/stolen cards, one replacement will be issued at no charge. Any subsequent replacement cards will incur a cost to the user.
