GREENFIELD, Ind. \u2014 Hancock Regional Hospital earned a fall 2023 \u201cA\u201d Hospital Safety Grade<\/a> from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog that sets standards for excellence in patient care. Between the spring and fall ratings Leapfrog issues annually, this is the seventh time in a row Hancock Regional Hospital has earned an \u201cA\u201d designation. Leapfrog assigns an \u201cA,\u201d \u201cB,\u201d \u201cC,\u201d \u201cD\u201d or \u201cF\u201d grade to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 national performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\u201cWe\u02bcre proud to be among the 18 Indiana hospitals that earned an \u201cA\u201d rating this fall. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program exclusively based on hospital prevention of medical errors, infections and injuries that kill more than 500 patients a day nationally. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually in the fall and spring.<\/p>\n<\/div>
