Located just west of County Road 600 West on the south side of Brookside Parkway, Hancock Health Center is a one-stop shop for the community, offering imaging, lab, wound care, physician offices, and more.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t long ago that this level of localized care was just a dream for many in McCordsville.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I first moved here 15 years ago, there was not a physician\u2019s office in the community,\u201d Schacherer said. \u201cWe are located in such an easy spot here in McCordsville. We\u2019ve got the accessibility, and the physicians and the staff are amazing. They truly are. They\u2019re dependable. They\u2019re compassionate. They\u2019re knowledgeable, and they absolutely take the time to make sure the patient is in the know, aware, and educated.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schacherer said this commitment to world-class care starts at the top with Hancock Health CEO Steve Long. \u201cIt is such a domino effect,\u201d she said. \u201cOur CEO lives by our mission statement. Because of the values that he instills in all of us\u2014and he knows us by name, he knows the staff\u2014it starts at the top and it works its way down, and it\u2019s very infectious. Because of that, we live by our motto and our mission statement, and we stand behind it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schacherer is particularly proud of the way her practice has stepped up during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide reliable, rapid testing for patients showing symptoms. \u201cThere has been so much controversy surrounding all the COVID tests that are out there right now, but I think it\u2019s nice that we have started offering to do these tests in office for our patients,\u201d she said. \u201cWe can get them their results quickly. And that\u2019s such a relief for so many of them.\u201d<\/p>\n
