R\u00a0:\u00a0En tant que phl\u00e9botomiste principal, je supervise le personnel, effectue des phl\u00e9botomies, traite les \u00e9chantillons et forme les nouveaux associ\u00e9s. Les assistants techniques de laboratoire participent au traitement et \u00e0 la distribution des \u00e9chantillons, chargent les analyseurs, pr\u00e9parent et envoient les \u00e9chantillons \u00e0 notre laboratoire de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence et effectuent des tests de base au point de service. <\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

Nous collectons \u00e9galement des analyses de laboratoire aupr\u00e8s de patients, soit depuis nos sites hors site, soit au sein m\u00eame de l'h\u00f4pital. Nous enregistrons et commandons des sp\u00e9cimens provenant de ces endroits. Certains de nos patients viennent chercher des kits d\u2019analyse de selles ou d\u2019urine. Nous testons \u00e9galement des \u00e9chantillons d'eau en laboratoire et nous pouvons fournir \u00e0 un r\u00e9sident de la communaut\u00e9 ou \u00e0 une entreprise les fournitures n\u00e9cessaires pour ce faire. <\/p>\n<\/div>

Nous effectuons \u00e9galement des t\u00e2ches g\u00e9n\u00e9rales de bureau telles que v\u00e9rifier l'exactitude des commandes, commander des fournitures, participer aux scores de satisfaction des patients, conserver les souvenirs des \u00e9chantillons, r\u00e9viser les proc\u00e9dures d'ann\u00e9e en ann\u00e9e et les mettre \u00e0 jour si n\u00e9cessaire, et bien plus encore. <\/p>\n<\/div>

R : Absolument. Une fois, j'ai eu une petite fille aux urgences pour qui je dessinais des laboratoires. Elle a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 un travail fantastique tout au long du processus, restant tr\u00e8s immobile comme une statue et respirant uniform\u00e9ment tout au long. J'ai remarqu\u00e9 en entrant dans la pi\u00e8ce qu'elle avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 re\u00e7u beaucoup d'autocollants, mais je lui en ai donn\u00e9 encore plus puisqu'elle faisait un si bon travail. Avant de partir, elle m'a donn\u00e9 un de ses autocollants et m'a dit de le porter. J'ai port\u00e9 cet autocollant toute la journ\u00e9e et \u00e0 ce jour, il est toujours dans ma voiture. <\/p>\n<\/div>

R : Oui, et cette petite fille a fait un travail incroyable. Lorsque je rencontre un patient nerveux ou effray\u00e9 lors d'une prise de sang, j'explique tout ce que je fais : poser le garrot, palper la veine, nettoyer le bras, etc. Une fois que le patient est pr\u00eat, je lui demande de prendre un respirez profond\u00e9ment et une fois que j'ai enfonc\u00e9 l'aiguille, je leur fais expirer. Je recommence quand il est temps de retirer l'aiguille. Je crois que cela les aide \u00e0 se concentrer sur leur respiration plut\u00f4t que sur une aiguille ins\u00e9r\u00e9e dans leur bras. Avec les enfants, c'est aussi agr\u00e9able de parler de leur dessin anim\u00e9 ou de leur personnage Disney pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9. <\/p>\n<\/div>
