Elle a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 \u00e0 la facult\u00e9 de m\u00e9decine de l&#039;Universit\u00e9 de l&#039;Indiana o\u00f9 elle a obtenu son dipl\u00f4me de m\u00e9decine en 1989. Apr\u00e8s ses \u00e9tudes de m\u00e9decine, le Dr Wean a effectu\u00e9 sa r\u00e9sidence \u00e0 l&#039;h\u00f4pital m\u00e9thodiste. Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 la r\u00e9sidente en chef de 1991 \u00e0 1992.
