As a Wellbeing First Champion, Hancock Health has verified that credentialing applications are free from intrusive and stigmatizing language around mental health care and treatment. This means that Hancock Health employees can seek needed care without fear of losing their license or job.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-paragraph core-paragraph\">\n<p>\u201cAt Hancock Health, we believe that caring for those who care for others is one of our most important responsibilities,\u201d said Dr. J. David Mossler, Vice President of Physician Practice Management and Chief Medical Officer at Hancock Health. \u201cRemoving barriers to mental health care is essential to creating a culture where every health worker feels safe, supported, and valued. Being recognized as a Wellbeing First Champion affirms our commitment to ensuring our clinicians can seek help without stigma or fear, because their wellbeing is foundational to the exceptional care we provide our community.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-paragraph core-paragraph\">\n<p>Verification that all invasive or stigmatizing language around mental health has been removed from applications is confirmed annually by ALL IN: Wellbeing First for Healthcare, a coalition of leading health care organizations that work to eliminate barriers for health workers to access mental health care.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-paragraph core-paragraph\">\n<p>\u201cAcross the country, health workers are at an increased risk for burnout and mental health conditions,\u201d said Corey Feist, co-founder of ALL IN: Wellbeing First for Healthcare and CEO of the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes\u2019 Foundation. \u201cMany health workers feel they cannot speak up about their mental health without being criticized by colleagues or losing their jobs. Today, physicians and nurses die by suicide at two times the rate of the general population.
