En Hancock Health, realmente amamos a nuestros voluntarios. Nos ayudan a hacer posible la salud para usted, en grandes y peque\u00f1as formas. Y este abril, celebraremos el Mes Nacional del Voluntariado tom\u00e1ndonos el tiempo para agradecer a nuestros voluntarios y compartir con ustedes un poco sobre c\u00f3mo pueden participar.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Agradecemos todos los d\u00edas a las personas que colaboran como voluntarias con nosotros, desde el Centro Oncol\u00f3gico hasta el mostrador de informaci\u00f3n y todos los lugares intermedios. Pero no se trata s\u00f3lo de nosotros: tambi\u00e9n se trata de la comunidad. Lo decimos en serio cuando decimos que amar a nuestros pacientes,<\/a> y tambi\u00e9n amamos a las personas que nos ayudan a cuidarlos. <\/p>\n<\/div>

Ser voluntario de Hancock Health ayuda a cerrar la brecha entre nuestro personal y los miembros de la comunidad. David Seevers ha sido voluntario desde marzo de 2005 y le encanta el impacto que genera todos los d\u00edas. <\/p>\n<\/div>

\u201cQuer\u00eda retribuir\u201d, dijo Seevers. \u201cMi padre, mi madre y mi hermana necesitaban atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica y hab\u00eda gente all\u00ed para ayudarlos. Y en cuanto a Marsha Ellett, otra voluntaria de casi diez a\u00f1os, quer\u00eda seguir sirviendo a su comunidad despu\u00e9s de retirarse de la enfermer\u00eda. <\/p>\n<\/div>

\u201cMe acababa de jubilar despu\u00e9s de haber trabajado veintinueve a\u00f1os en el Hospital Infantil Riley y haber ense\u00f1ado enfermer\u00eda durante diecisiete a\u00f1os\u201d, dijo Ellett. \u201cQuer\u00eda seguir ayudando a la gente. Esa es mi parte favorita del trabajo\u201d.
