National hospital watchdog group Leapfrog recognizes Hancock Regional with its highest safety<\/em>
\ngrade for the third time in a row<\/em><\/p>\n

GREENFIELD, IND.<\/strong> (November 10, 2021) \u2014 Hancock Regional Hospital received an \u201cA\u201d grade
\nfrom Leapfrog Hospital Safety in the national organization\u2019s Fall 2021 rankings. Leapfrog<\/a>
\nHospital Safety bestowed this national recognition that highlights Hancock Health\u2019s achievement
\nin protecting patients from sickness, harm, or error while in the hospital\u2019s care. This is the third
\nconsecutive time Hancock Regional Hospital has received this recognition after earning an \u201cA\u201d
\ngrade in Fall 2020 and Spring 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to thank all of the Hancock Health physicians, nurses, and other staff for the tremendous
\nwork they do for our patients,\u201d said Steve Long, president and CEO. \u201cPatient safety is not just
\nthe work of one person, it has to be a team effort. Throughout a challenging year that has seen
\nour community battling a global pandemic, we have never once lowered our standards or
\nexpectations for patient care.\u201d<\/p>\n

Over the last several months, Hancock Health has made numerous investments to improve
\nhealth outcomes for all patients. Improvements to the hospital\u2019s surgical facilities<\/a> and a new
\nneonatal partnership with Peyton Manning Children\u2019s Hospital<\/a> demonstrate a continued
\ncommitment to excellence.<\/p>\n

Hancock Regional Hospital was also recognized as the safest hospital in Indiana<\/a> by the Lown<\/a>
\nInstitute Hospitals Index earlier this year. The Lown Institute also awarded \u201cA\u201d grades in patient
\nsatisfaction and pay equity.<\/p>\n
