R: Como flebotomista principal, superviso al personal, realizo flebotom\u00edas, proceso muestras y capacito a nuevos asociados. Los asistentes t\u00e9cnicos de laboratorio participan en el procesamiento y distribuci\u00f3n de muestras de muestras, cargan analizadores, preparan y env\u00edan muestras para nuestro laboratorio de referencia y realizan pruebas b\u00e1sicas en el lugar de atenci\u00f3n. <\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

Tambi\u00e9n recopilamos an\u00e1lisis de laboratorio de los pacientes, ya sea de nuestras ubicaciones externas o dentro del propio hospital. Registramos y encargamos ejemplares procedentes de dichas localidades. Algunos de nuestros pacientes vienen a recoger kits de an\u00e1lisis de heces u orina. Tambi\u00e9n analizamos muestras de agua en el laboratorio y podemos proporcionarle a un residente de la comunidad o a una empresa los suministros correctos para hacerlo. <\/p>\n<\/div>

R: Absolutamente. Una vez tuve una ni\u00f1a en urgencias para la que dibujaba laboratorios. Le fue fant\u00e1stico durante todo el proceso, permaneciendo muy quieta como una estatua y respirando de manera uniforme durante todo el proceso. Cuando entr\u00e9 a la habitaci\u00f3n, not\u00e9 que a ella ya le hab\u00edan dado muchas calcoman\u00edas, pero le di a\u00fan m\u00e1s porque estaba haciendo un buen trabajo. Antes de irme, me dio una de sus pegatinas y me dijo que me la pusiera. Llev\u00e9 esa pegatina todo el d\u00eda y hasta el d\u00eda de hoy todav\u00eda est\u00e1 en mi coche. <\/p>\n<\/div>

R: S\u00ed, y esta ni\u00f1a hizo un trabajo incre\u00edble. Cuando me encuentro con un paciente que est\u00e1 nervioso o asustado durante la extracci\u00f3n de sangre, le explico todo lo que estoy haciendo: colocar el torniquete, palpar la vena, limpiar el brazo, etc. Una vez que el paciente est\u00e1 listo, le pido que tome una Respiro hondo y una vez que clavo la aguja, les pido que exhalen. Hago esto nuevamente cuando llega el momento de sacar la aguja. Creo que esto les ayuda a concentrarse en la respiraci\u00f3n en lugar de en una aguja que se introduce en el brazo. Con los ni\u00f1os tambi\u00e9n es bueno hablar sobre sus dibujos animados o personajes de Disney favoritos. <\/p>\n<\/div>
