She received her Bachelor of Arts at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, followed by her medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at Indiana University School of Medicine and continued her surgical training at IU for fellowship. Dr. Schick deeply values surgical education and received the Excellence in Resident Teaching of Students award, as well as the Surgical Socrates Award for outstanding teaching of medical students.
