Dr. Badell is a 4th<\/sup> generation Hoosier, attended Indiana University in Bloomington, and completed a master\u2019s degree in biomedical science at IUPUI. He went on to earn his doctorate in podiatric medicine and surgery at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago. He completed a comprehensive three-year trauma, reconstructive, and elective foot and ankle surgery residency at Community Health Network in Indianapolis. Following residency training, Dr. Badell was chosen for the highly coveted fellowship position with Florida Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center. Following fellowship, he stayed on as an attending physician with the practice.  During his tenure in Florida, patients would come from around the world to receive advanced treatments, particularly total ankle replacement and minimally invasive procedures.  Dr. Badell then returned to his home state to practice at Hancock Regional Hospital bringing his experience to serve the patients of central Indiana.

Dr. Badell has also been involved in academic research from his undergraduate education and continuing into present day. He has published in national journals and has won awards for his research at both national and regional academic conferences. 

Outside of work, Dr. Badell is actively involved with the Special Olympics of Indiana as the clinical director for their FitFeet division. He enjoys golf, Indiana Hoosiers sports, and spending time with his wife, son, and two mini aussie doodles.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Dr. Badell takes pride in thoroughly explaining and discussing all possible treatment options with his patients. He wants each patient to be active in the decision-making process and takes the time to create a plan specific to each patient\u2019s needs.  He treats all conditions and ailments in the foot, ankle and leg.  He has specialized training and experience in total ankle replacement, trauma, arthroscopy, and minimally invasive surgery.<\/p>\n<\/div>
