Wiesman obtuvo su licenciatura en biolog\u00eda de la Universidad de Indiana en Bloomington en 2002. Estudi\u00f3 en la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Indiana, donde obtuvo su t\u00edtulo de m\u00e9dico en 2006. Despu\u00e9s de la escuela de medicina, la Dra. Wiesman complet\u00f3 su residencia en pediatr\u00eda en la Facultad de Medicina de IU.
