Leapfrog assigns an \u201cA,\u201d \u201cB,\u201d \u201cC,\u201d \u201cD\u201d or \u201cF\u201d grade to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-paragraph core-paragraph\">\n<p>Hancock Health joins roughly 30% of 3,000 hospitals across the country and one of only 18 in Indiana to earn a fall 2024 \u201cA\u201d rating. The hospital has achieved an \u201cA\u201d rating since fall of 2020; one of 192 hospitals nationwide and one of only two in Indiana to accomplish this.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-paragraph core-paragraph\">\n<p>\u201cThis is a testament to everyone\u2019s hard work throughout our entire healthcare system that we\u2019ve been able to receive this meaningful recognition,\u201d said Steve Long, president and CEO of Hancock Health. \u201cMaking sure our patients are safe and get the best care possible during their visits has been and will continue to be our top priority.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-paragraph core-paragraph\">\n<p>\u201cAchieving an \u2018A\u2019 Hospital Safety Grade is a significant accomplishment for Hancock Health,\u201d said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. \u201cIt reflects enormous dedication to your patients and their families, and your whole community should be proud.
