Instead of highlighting a single physician, we\u2019re shifting our focus to the team of nurse practitioners at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hancockhealth.org\/de\/location\/hancock-pediatrics\/\">Hancock-P\u00e4diatrie<\/a> auf der gr\u00fcnen Wiese.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe most rewarding moments are when I\u2019m able to make a tangible, positive impact on the health of a child or family,\u201d said Ashley Sevenbergen, certified pediatric nurse practitioner (CPNP). \u201cI love the relationships I\u2019ve built with patients and families over the years. I\u2019ve been privileged to see many kids grow from birth to school-age!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s no surprise that a fondness for kids inspired these nurses to work in pediatrics. \u201cThe most rewarding part of my job is that I get to interact with children on a daily basis,\u201d said Erin McMurray, family nurse practitioner. \u201cThey bring me great joy, and I just love to hear about their lives and what they\u2019re accomplishing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mindy Closser, CPNP, appreciates the educational part of her work. \u201cThe most rewarding part of my job is educating and encouraging parents to raise happy, healthy children,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>All three nurse practitioners emphasized the familial nature of the Hancock Pediatrics team as a defining characteristic that sets their office apart. \u201cHancock Health is a supportive family that encourages me to grow personally and professionally,\u201d Mindy Closser said. \u201cI work with amazing individuals that truly have the health and wellbeing of our patients and families as a priority.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ashely echoed that sentiment. \u201cHancock Pediatrics is different from other healthcare organizations, because we are a family. We know and care for each other. That makes a big difference to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As far as the future of pediatric care, the team is passionate about advancements in mental health treatment. \u201cI\u2019m excited about any innovation that will improve access to mental health services for children and teenagers,\u201d Ashley said. \u201cAt Hancock Pediatrics, we have been taking steps toward integrative behavioral health, in which behavioral health and medical providers work together to care for the whole person.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Erin agreed, \u201cI\u2019m excited about integrated health care, where a patient comes to the same office and receives physical, mental, and social services. I\u2019m also very hopeful that we will be able to become more integrated in our office and throughout Hancock Health in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When these nurse practitioners aren\u2019t making health possible at Hancock Pediatrics, all three enjoy getting outside\u2014which includes lots of hiking and exploring trails in parks with their families.
