A: Danke, es war ein toller Arbeitsplatz. Es gibt so viele verschiedene Dinge, die zu meinem Job geh\u00f6ren. Die Vielfalt ist wirklich sch\u00f6n. <\/p>\n<\/div>

F: Erz\u00e4hlen Sie mir zum gleichen Thema von meiner T\u00e4tigkeit als leitender Phlebotomist und Labortechniker. Was machen Sie in Ihrer Rolle?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

A: Als leitender Phlebotomist beaufsichtige ich das Personal, f\u00fchre Phlebotomien durch, verarbeite Proben und schule neue Mitarbeiter. Die technischen Laborassistenten beteiligen sich an der Verarbeitung und Verteilung von Proben, beladen Analyseger\u00e4te, bereiten Proben f\u00fcr unser Referenzlabor vor und versenden sie und f\u00fchren grundlegende Point-of-Care-Tests durch. <\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

Wir holen auch Laborwerte von Patienten ein, entweder von unseren externen Standorten oder innerhalb des Krankenhauses selbst. Wir registrieren und bestellen Exemplare, die von diesen Standorten stammen. Einige unserer Patienten kommen, um Stuhl- oder Urintestkits abzuholen. Wir testen auch Wasserproben im Labor und k\u00f6nnen einem Bewohner der Gemeinde oder einem Unternehmen die richtigen Materialien daf\u00fcr zur Verf\u00fcgung stellen. <\/p>\n<\/div>

F: Wow, das sind ziemlich viele Verantwortlichkeiten. <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

A: Ja! Wir erledigen auch allgemeine B\u00fcroaufgaben wie die \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung von Bestellungen auf Richtigkeit, die Bestellung von Verbrauchsmaterialien, die Teilnahme an Patientenzufriedenheitsbewertungen, die Pflege von Probenerinnerungen, die \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung von Verfahren von Jahr zu Jahr und deren Aktualisierung bei Bedarf und vieles mehr. <\/p>\n<\/div>

F: Was ist Ihrer Meinung nach der Teil Ihres Jobs, der Ihnen am besten gef\u00e4llt? <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

A: Oh, ich liebe die Interaktion mit den Patienten. Es ist eine gro\u00dfe Freude, das Labor zu verlassen und mit Patienten zu sprechen. <\/p>\n<\/div>

F: Haben Sie eine Lieblingsinteraktion mit einem Patienten? <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

\n\n<\/div>
\n

A: Absolut. Ich hatte einmal ein kleines M\u00e4dchen in der Notaufnahme, f\u00fcr das ich Labore zeichnete. Sie hat den gesamten Prozess fantastisch gemeistert, blieb wie eine Statue ganz still und atmete die ganze Zeit gleichm\u00e4\u00dfig. Als ich den Raum betrat, bemerkte ich, dass sie bereits viele Aufkleber erhalten hatte, aber ich gab ihr noch mehr, da sie so gute Arbeit leistete. Bevor ich ging, gab sie mir einen ihrer Aufkleber und forderte mich auf, ihn zu tragen. Ich habe diesen Aufkleber den ganzen Tag getragen und bis heute befindet er sich immer noch in meinem Auto. <\/p>\n<\/div>

F: Oh, das ist so s\u00fc\u00df! Verwenden Sie Aufkleber, um Kindern Trost zu spenden, wenn sie nerv\u00f6s sind? <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

A: Ja, und dieses kleine M\u00e4dchen hat einfach gro\u00dfartige Arbeit geleistet. Wenn ich einem Patienten begegne, der w\u00e4hrend der Blutabnahme nerv\u00f6s oder \u00e4ngstlich ist, erkl\u00e4re ich ihm alles, was ich tue: Anlegen des Tourniquets, F\u00fchlen der Vene, Reinigen des Arms usw. Sobald der Patient bereit ist, bitte ich ihn, eine Blutsperre zu nehmen Ich atme tief ein und sobald ich die Nadel steche, lasse ich sie den Atem ausblasen. Ich mache das noch einmal, wenn es Zeit ist, die Nadel herauszunehmen. Ich glaube, das hilft ihnen, sich auf den Atem zu konzentrieren, anstatt dass ihnen eine Nadel in den Arm sticht. Mit Kindern ist es auch sch\u00f6n, \u00fcber ihre Lieblingszeichentrick- oder Disney-Figur zu sprechen. <\/p>\n<\/div>
